Rudabányácska

Rudabányácska lies in a picturesque environment, in a valley, which is rich in streams and various species of plants and animals. Its former names were Bányácska, Szépbánya, referring to the mining of gold and silver at that time. The Ukrainian colonists, who came from the Carpathian region in the 1700s, have built a church here, which is one of the village’s most beautiful historic buildings. The mine was newly opened up in 1974; the mine-shafts are open for the audience on some occasions every year.
