Füzérkomlós
Füzérkomlós is a small settlement situated in the Northern part of Zemplen mountains. The surrounding is full of wonderful hills and forests which provide a spectacular view and crystal-clear air. Its name was first mentioned in 1270 as Comlous; Kumlovs in documents. The only White Stonemine of the ‘Hegyköz’ region, which provided the material for the spiral staircase of the cathedral in Kassa, was in Füzérkomlós. The settlement is overpassed by the National Blue Tour Route. Tourism of hunters plays a crucial role in the the settlement’s life. The guests may take part on huntings, photo-safaris, beast-watching, and on arranged tours. Hungary’s first and unique garden for bisons, where we can see European bisons (appointments must be fixed in advance), can be found here.
