Károlyfalva

It was founded by Swabian colonists coming from the environs of the Black Forest (Schwarzwald) in the first half of the 1750s. The village’s charming Upper Wine-Cellars are given an impulse by the “open-cellar days of Károlyfalva”, which is organized every year at the end of the summer. Before visiting the cellars we can either have a picnic on the shore of the local fish pond, or we can visit the popular beauty spot, the Tengerszem on the hill Megyer, by following the trail leading to it.
